Currently Pro R 4 cylinder MG1 ECU type requires your ECU to be sent to us for programming (bench flash) or an unlock for the AA/HP Tuners RTD device.
– The ECU is located on the passenger side of the vehicle on the rear divider panel between the cab and engine bay.
– To access the ECU, first remove the upper closeoff panel by removing the quick turn fasteners.
– Next, locate the formed fabric panel on the passenger side of the vehicle and remove the plastic push pins.
– Removing this panel will reveal your ECU.
– Remove the two ECU plugs by flipping the retaining levers and gently pulling down after doing so.
– The connection closest to the outside of the vehicle must be removed first.
– With the ecu unplugged from the machine, remove the T25 torx screws mounting the ecu to the rear divider panel.

To reinstall – align the plug with the bail open (flipped up). As you close the bail, the connector will pull together. You must install the connector on the driver’s side of the ecu first, then follow up with the other connector.
