A huge benefit of the Power Vision is the data logging capability. This allows you to record data from your factory ECU and review it later. Doing so allows you to fine tune your machine and more easily diagnose problems you may be having.
To record a data log on the PV3 device: Press the O button to start and stop the log. The shorter the log, the easier it is to review. We suggest under a minute, but if needed it will capture logs up to 10 minutes. We normally like to see full throttle pulls either 0-60 MPH or a rolling start of 10-60 MPH. Full throttle is the most effective for logs unless you are trying to diagnose a problem at a specific speed/RPM/load – then you’ll data log where you’re having the issue.
To send a data log to us: Plug the PV3 into a computer using the supplied mini USB cable. Open your e-mail and create a new e-mail sending to aftermarketassassins@gmail.com . Type a description of your issues in the email, then find where to attach a file. Navigate to the POWERVISION drive on your computer, then the LOGFILES folder. Attach the data log files within that folder you’d like to send. Please note log reviews can take 1-3 days to review. *Note: If wanting to rename your log files, please only add to the end of the file name. The log files are automatically saved with the tune file name, so if this is changed we cannot see what tune file the log was created from. Example: LEV3-VH-PXP-290BB_LOG_1 is how the log for a Pro XP Level 3 tune file is saved. You can add to the end of it if wanting to specify more for your own record, such as LEV3-VH-PXP-290BB_LOG_1_Clutch Test 1 . This way we can see exactly what tune file goes with this log file in case we need to make changes for you.

Looking to review your own logs? There are a few important things you can look at on your own, and even on the gauge screen. The below suggestions are for turbocharged vehicles such as the RZR turbo, pro xp, turbo r, or can am X3 models.
Manifold Absolute Pressure & Target Boost: Displaying these or looking at them in a log is important. Under a wide open throttle run they should hold within 1psi of each other. The data will not make sense anywhere besides wide open throttle.
Intake temp/charge temp. This depends on the model, but if your intake temps are hot it normally indicates a boost leak, or intake restriction. At altitude it can just happen from over working the small turbochargers found on these vehicles. If manifold pressure is not meeting target boost and intake temps are not hot, this usually means the wastegate needs adjustment, or you have a bad boost controller/controller lines.
Knock Ignition Retard: This is very important. On Polaris 2 cylinder turbo models, the PTO side is most likely to knock and what we’d suggest keeping an eye on (or both). For Can Am X3 models, the center cylinder (#2) is most likely to knock. Knock based ignition retard should be zero as that would indicate the knock sensor is picking up no engine knock, therefor pulling no ignition timing. We consider anything from 0 to -3 degrees an acceptable amount of knock. If higher than that, you most likely want to increase motor octane or look for a lean condition, or other scenario causing the issue. If over 6-7 degrees negative on this reading, you certainly have an issue.
Engine speed: make sure your engine is operating at peak RPM. Having too much or too little RPM will drastically effect these vehicles in both boost and knock readings.
Those few things are the most important things to look for. We do a great job of putting many more pieces of the puzzle together to find bigger issues, but verifying those readings on your gauge or logs can really help diagnose issues quicker, or let you know if you actually have an issue.
