Fits 2027 Xpedition Models 2 & 5 Seat

  • For 2027 Polaris went to the Numatix system to lower cruising RPM in comfort and standard modes.  This is a great concept and helps decrease noise produced.   We feel they did a great job with the calibration of Numatix as our Dragy acceleration testing found no difference in a 0-60mph pull between sport mode and comfort.   This tells us the reaction time of this system to respond to pedal position is excellent.  The OEM clutching has a peak RPM at 50-55mph of roughly 7800-8000 RPM which is not bad.  We were able to take advantage of a few common things we’ve seen prior in Xpedition clutching to gain performance and belt grip, especially with larger tires.  The Numatix system still works excellent on top of our clutch kit.

  • The OEM primary spring is used in this kit as we found it to work best; it’s a pain to install an aftermarket one, and the OEM spring is a big part of how the Numatix system responds.
    • Performance Weight Setup vs. Cruiser option: This kit gives you everything needed to switch from our performance clutch setup (roughly 8200-8300 peak RPM) to the cruiser setup (roughly 7500-7800 rpm).   If using the cruiser weight (magnet) setup, you will notice a little lower RPM peak and cruising even beyond what the OEM Numatix does.  This is because Numatix compounds on top of the clutch weight setup being run.
  • Kits work great with both stock or modified machines
  • Works well with tire sizes 30″ to 35″ and paddles 28″ to 33″
  • A must-have when running larger tires or paddles
  • Wicked throttle response when on & off the throttle
  • More efficient power transferred to the wheels
  • More consistent clutch performance
  • Cooler running belt temps, especially with larger tires or paddles
  • Longer belt and clutch life
  • Easily adjustable if needed
  • Smooth clutch engagement, though slightly higher than factory… still very smooth.
    • Non EBS Helix is best as you get rid of that annoying clunk when starting out!
    • Our setup just feels smoother through the entire clutch shift; even in comfort mode when accelerating moderately.
  • High Load Helix 1062: We use this helix in ALL 2027 Numatix Models as we found it to work best.
  • EBS (Engine Braking) Options – We suggest the Remove EBS Option:
    • Keep EBS: This helix has a narrower roller pocket vs. the OEM helix so you will get less clunk when starting out.  It has a bit more engine braking vs. our non-EBS helix.  For this model, we prefer the non-EBS helix to get rid of the clunk.
    • Remove EBS:  This is our favorite choice as it eliminates the clunk when starting out, giving you smoother engagement. This removes the EBS pocket in the helix. Gets rid of the roller clunk noise but there is a decel whine. Honestly, you don’t notice much difference vs. keeping EBS.
  • Dyno graph is shown on a 2024-26 model with 32″ tires which showed a gain on the dyno due to building speed quicker. See a list of power levels on 32″ tires below. You’ll quickly see why we highly suggest the dual muffler exhaust, tune, and cruiser clutch kit. +12rwhp gain over factor and they simply rip with that setup, while being quieter!
    • Stock with OEM Heavy Clutch Weights (some 2024’s and all 2025+ models) = 80rwhp estimated
    • Stock 2027 Numatix with 32″ Tires (light weights, 8300 peak RPM) = 90 RWHP estimated
    • Stock with 32″ Tires (light weights, 8300 peak RPM) = 96 RWHP
    • Stock with Cruiser clutch setup (7500-7800 RPM) = 86 RWHP
    • S3 Cruiser clutch kit + L1 Flash = 88 RWHP
    • S3 Clutch Kit (not Cruiser) with stock ECU = 100 RWHP
    • S3 Clutch Kit (not Cruiser) and L1 Flash = 103 RWHP
    • S3 Cruiser Clutch Kit + Exhaust + L2 Flash = 108 RWHP
    • S3 Clutch Kit (not Cruiser) + Exhaust + L2 Flash = 110 RWHP
  • 2027 Dragy Acceleration Results:
    • Stock: 12.54s 0-60mph
    • Stock + AA Dual Suppressor Exhaust: 12.28s 0-60
    • S3 Clutch Kit + AA Dual Suppressor Exhaust:  11.69s 0-60
    • ECU Tune Results Coming Soon!
  • An initial setup guideline is included which shows the best setups for dunes, mud, or all around trail riding. This also has brief instructions on installing your clutch kit, and other important information.
  • Kits include: AA magnetic adjustable clutch weights, slug magnets,  AA secondary spring, & our AA custom cut helix
  • Special Tools Required:
    • Clutch Compression Tool #1 for installing the secondary helix/spring
    • 33mm Impact Socket for removing air rotary union from the primary clutch
    • Primary clutch puller.  It is possible to do without it, but it makes things so much easier as you can pull the clutch, then use a 2nd person or C-Clamp to compress the clutch enough to remove and install clutch weight arms.
  • Optional Suggested Items:
    • We suggest our alignment shim kit as oftentimes we find the OEM clutches not shimmed correctly, and aligning them is crucial.
    • P90X Butter Shift washers for slightly more spring pressure, smoother shifts, and less clutch harmonics
    • Clutch puller allows you to pull the clutch for easier access to install the weights + spring
    • Our Stryker Belt is a very good belt and has a slightly softer compound for better belt grip
    • If needing new secondary clutch rollers, upgrade to our Heavy Duty P90X Secondary Rollers
